The petticoat was left behind, an unexpected bike race through town blocked the access to their first look and portraits location… expect the unexpected on your wedding day, right? You would also expect a day like this would rattle any bride. Nope, not Kayla. She, not only took it all in stride, but simply smiled, laughed and kept on enjoying every single moment of the day. The good, the bad and the absolutely wonderful!

“No matter what happens… the only thing that REALLY matters, is that Leland and I are getting married today.”




Even with the few things that went wrong, many things went very right. The typical overcast/rainy Pacific Northwest day, instead gave way to some perfect summer weather. And spoiler alert, everything came together in the end… and yes, Kayla & Leland indeed, became Husband & Wife.
Here is a sneak peek into their beautiful day…




The day began with hair and makeup by Haley Snell at the DoubleTree Inn, in Olympia, accompanied by champagne, and lots of laughter.


After finally finding our way around the downtown bike race, Kayla and Leland were able to enjoy a private moment for Leland’s “first look” of his gorgeous bride. I’m not kidding when I say that Kayla would be stunning in a potato sack, but this full lace dress adorned with crystals and beads, was pure perfection. Needless to say, Leland was awed by his bride. 

The guys were quite the handsome group of gentlemen!

The ladies were stunningly beautiful in their elegant plum dresses.

The wedding was hosted at the Grand Holiday Ballroom and was the perfect backdrop for this classic and elegant wedding.

The reception was filled with laughter, love and LOTS of dancing, but Leland stole the show with his smooth moves during his first dance with his new bride.
